DEFINITION The primary role of the Youth Care Worker is to assist with the day-to-day care and supervision of the residents of the group home.
LINE OF AUTHORITY The Youth Care Worker reports directly to the House Supervisor.

Valid FloridaDriver's License AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY The responsibilities of the Youth Care Worker of Abundant Life Ministries - Hope House, Inc.
include the following:
A.
The YCW is responsible for carrying out agency policies and procedures.
B.
The YCW is responsible to assist in creating an atmosphere conducive to the social and emotional growth and development of the residents.
C.
The YCW helps with supervision of residents leading to a safe environment.
D.
The YCW is responsible for helping residents in their adjustment to group living.
E.
The YCW establishes rapport with residents and with all agency staff.
F.
The YCW assists other staff in teaching residents social skills and daily living skills.
G.
The YCW shares the responsibility for maintaining the group home.
H.
The YCW helps with all aspects of home management when asked, i.
e.
cooking, transportation, checking homework completion, etc.
I.
The YCW produces some documentation according to agency policy, i.
e.
incident reports, e-mail communication and is familiar with the computer resources in the staff office.
J.
The YCW assist other staff in encouraging the religious growth and education of the residents.
K.
The YCW is responsible for learning and growing in skills and knowledge of this field and is encouraged to attend in-service training.
L.
The YCW increases skills through the supervisory relationship.
ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE Vacations, sick leave, holidays, emergency leave, termination of employment, etc.
