Responsibilities:
The production technician II will be part of a team involved in the CO2 extraction process of bulk botanical oil and/or powdered supplements.
Technicians should have mechanical aptitude, be able to read standard operating procedures, and have strong hygienic practices.
Production Technicians II will be involved in the following:
preparation, extraction, research & development, post processing, packaging/weighing, and cleaning all designated areas & equipment.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
Reading and understanding standard operating procedures Operation of the extraction equipment:
3x400 L and 0.
5 L SFE Communicating effectively with a team and providing feedback Grinding plant materials in large volumes Loading ground plant material into large silos Using electronic lifts to load filled silos into extraction vessels Emptying and cleaning silos after the extraction process Setting up experimental protocols as directed by management and documenting all pertinent details Calculating theoretical yields, actual yields and mass balance Identifying potential bottlenecks in production and making recommendations to help co-workers Mechanical maintenance & replacing parts of equipment:
CO2 extraction ancillary components, hammer mill grinder, separation columns and mixing equipment Troubleshooting extraction equipment Cleaning daily - sanitizing the extraction room, grinding room, water separation room, mixing rooms, and all equipment associated with each part of the production process Using floor jacks and/or forklifts to move pallets & plant materials
Qualifications:
Ability to drive or learn how to operate a forklift Must have reliable transportation and be punctual Must be able to work 40 hours per week on site Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs Computer knowledge:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 1-2 years of hands laboratory experience in an educational or professional setting Ability to count inventory of associated supplies and containers of product Being comfortable with wearing PPE:
laboratory coats, gloves, hard hats and respirators Education:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field Mechanic trade school applicable Job Type:
