Yellowstone seeks a Safety Coordinator to work as part of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) team to provide technical safety and health support to branch and corporate personnel. The Safety Coordinator will assist in the development of corporate HSE programs and objectives and coordinate safety training programs. Additionally, they will monitor HSE regulations and provide technical support to Branch Management and staff to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and policies.


  1. Develop and contribute to new and existing safety policies, standards, practices and procedures. Ensure compliance across Branches.
  2. Identify and evaluate best practices in safety methods, including equipment and vehicle use, chemical applications/spraying operations, environmental safety precautions, as well as the elimination or reduction of workplace hazards through Job Hazard Analyses or other such tools.
  3. Ensure compliance with evolving government rules and regulations, including OSHA and DOT.
  4. Participate in the development, facilitation and management of safety orientation and ongoing safety training programs for employees, whether delivered personally or through qualified third parties. Track sign-in sheets and relevant post-training tests.
  5. Organize and maintain safety documentation and library of policies, manuals and videos. Share internal memoranda via email, bulletins and newsletters as a means of developing the safety culture and creating awareness.
  6. Serve as an active member on Yellowstone Landscape‚ s Safety Committee and participate in monthly Corporate Safety Meetings. Review Branch Safety Meeting minutes and follow-up as necessary.
  7. Provide guidance to Management on the purchase of appropriate and cost-effective safety device and personal protective equipment.
  8. Following major incidents, conduct Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis. Ensure corrective actions are taken to avoid similar incidents across Branches.
  9. Conduct shared quarterly Safety Audit responsibility including inspection of offices, shops and tucks/crews in the field. Summarize and share findings, follow-up and ensure compliance with Branch Management.

The position will be based out of Yellowstone‚ s Field Support Office in Palm Coast, Florida.


This position requires approximately 50% travel for audits and training.

Education and Experience

Bachelor‚ s degree preferred and 4 to 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Relevant technical training and or certifications in safety, OSHA and horticulture.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
